I thought I would share a few behind-the-scenes photos from my recent flower crown photo sessions. If you haven’t seen the final images yet, be sure to check those out to see the results!

This was a total experiment and I seriously had NO idea if it would work out, but we scheduled a time to try it, got the supplies and crossed our fingers. The goal was to create an epic flower afro out of real flowers on my niece’s head and then take some fun photos.

I thought for sure something (or many things) would go wrong, but amazingly, it all worked out great! I found perfect flowers, she was super patient, the floral foam actually stayed on her head and we were able to create a pretty symmetrical shaped arrangement that photographed beautifully. It even stayed together when we took it off, so we were able to take photos of my (unsuspecting) daughter as well!

We had so much fun and I can’t wait to try something like this (or another crazy idea!) again soon!
