To say that my boys have been obsessed with basketball this last year is an understatement and our driveway hoop has gotten a LOT of attention. We put in a basketball light because they want to play late into the evening (I’m sure the neighbors are thrilled). And the sidewalk chalk lines on the concrete no longer sufficed, so we had permanent lines painted on. While too much of anything can be a problem, so far basketball has been a fun way for them to get some exercise, challenge themselves, hang out with and make new friends, and fuel some healthy (and maybe some not-so-healthy) competition. They’ve also been a bit more amiable to having their pictures taken recently, so I took the opportunity to have a little basketball fun of my own to commemorate this season of life with them. I’m looking forward to trying more of this kind of sport photos in the future because it was a blast and they think they look pretty cool.
